Covid-19

We at Chapel Hill Dental Group have always practiced above and beyond sanitation and sterilization guidelines than has been required, but as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have even further updated and improved some of our daily procedures, policies and protocols. You'll still receive the same great service from our dedicated team, however to ensure the safety of all our patients and staff we've implemented the following:
  • All staff and doctors screen themselves PRIOR to coming to the office and are screened daily using a health questionnaire and forehead temperature reading before entering the building.
  • All patients receive a pre-screening phone call a few days prior to appointments and a post screening phone call a few days after appointments.
  • Whenever possible, patients call the office upon arrival to check in for appointments and wait in their vehicles until a staff member indicates it’s time to come inside.
  • Masks are required by everyone at all times in the dental practice, except for patients when they are undergoing treatment.
  • Air purification systems that cycle the air many times every hour are installed and are used throughout the building.
  • Patients complete a health questionnaire and forehead temperature reading upon arrival for scheduled appointments.
  • All patients sanitize their hands with sanitizer provided at the front door upon entering the building.
  • With staggered appointments, our waiting room is much “roomier” these days as no more than two people 6+ feet apart may be seated in the waiting room at any given time.
  • No guests are allowed in the waiting room or clinical areas unless they are absolutely required to do so. If/when this occurs, the guest is required to follow all of the same protocols.
  • Social distancing guidelines of 6+ feet will be enforced at all times, except during treatment with providers.
  • All patients will swish with a safe disinfecting oral solution for a full 60 seconds prior to all dental procedures.
  • We have continued further minimizing all aerosols using a variety of methods and state of the art supplies and equipment.
  • Clinical staff are wearing additional and/or new and improved PPE.
  • State of the art disinfecting foggers are used throughout the building after each and every appointment.
  • Plexiglas barriers have been installed around the front desk area and will remain in place.
  • To ensure contactless payment at the front desk, credit card slips do not need to be signed – we merely note “COVID-19” on the signature line.
We are hopeful that these additional and/or improved safety measures will make you feel safe and comfortable for your dental appointments. If for ANY reason, you feel more secure postponing your appointment, we understand. We simply ask that you call us and kindly give as much advance notice as possible so that we can accommodate someone else who has been patiently waiting on our priority call list.

From all of us at Chapel Hill Dental Group, we look forward to seeing you soon!
